Alfio Torrisi born in Catania (Italy) where he graduated in Foreign
Languages. At present he is a high school teacher in Treviso. He is the
composer of the music supporting Tiberia Pavan's (i.e. his wife's) poems and of a number of pop songs. After discovering the magic of Greek music, he is currently devoting himself to the study of bouzouki and of rembetiko, performing in Italy with the Rembetiki Kompania.

Petali scivolati is a collection of poems written in summer between 2009 and 2010 mainly in Kefalonia (Greece) on St. Barbara beach, Katelios. Thence the idea of performing them in the place where they born.
